Trust the local musical tastes of the residents in Georgia and South Carolina. For over 35 years, southern rock fans in Atlanta, Athens, Greenville and Charleston have had the privilege of keeping multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Randall Bramblett pretty much a state secret. Fortunately, on the eve of his new album, Now It’s Tomorrow, everyone can experience what the Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, R.E.M. and Chuck Leavell, have attested to - Bramblett is one of the finest southern rockers, ever.

Randall’s solo career began in the mid ‘70s with two critically acclaimed albums on Polydor Records (That Other Mile, Light of the Night) and has continued to the present with his most recent releases on Capricorn (See Through Me) and New West Records (No More Mr. Lucky, Thin Places, Rich Someday).

Currently, Randall tours with his own band, the Randall Bramblett Band, an extraordinary group of pros from the Athens/Atlanta area. On guitars are his old friend and writing partner from the early days, Davis Causey and a new and versatile arrival, Mike Hines. Mike Steele and Gerry Hansen (Shawn Mullins) are on bass and drums respectively. Each band member is a successful session player and producer in his own right.

This band has opened for Widespread Panic and has been generating a tremendous buzz and rave reviews wherever they perform. The rare combination of songwriting and musicianship makes the Randall Bramblett Band so unique and guarantees a live experience you won’t forget.

For his third album (Rich Someday) on New West, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Randall Bramblett delivers another terrific set of intelligent, folk-inflected Southern rock. Each track is a mini-story as Bramblett’s earthy yet often dreamy lyrics and rootsy instrumentation enhance the muted colors. Bramblett’s keyboards and acoustic guitar flavor the songs, all of which are beautifully arranged and immaculately, but not soullessly performed. Hansen's creative drum fills and longtime associate Davis Causey's less-is-more electric guitar solos hug the curves of the material and flesh out the melodies. For an artist that has stayed under the radar for too long, Rich Someday deserves to be the album to put talented veteran Bramblett on the map.

Now It's Tomorrow (2008), his seventh solo album, blends in sharp songwriting, soulful horns and subtle psychedelic grooves. When combined it is a sound best served on a summer night after sunset.

Bramblett has played and recorded with Steve Winwood, Robbie Robertson and Gregg Allman. His songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Rick Nelson, The Atlanta Rhythm Section, Delbert McClinton and Chuck Leavell.

It all adds up to the best of endeavors - virtuoso writing and playing that’s within every listener’s emotional grasp. These are songs that will endure for years to come, as echoes of our time. Bramblett is an artist that has stayed under the radar for too long.
